This article deals with keeping children and teens safe online using technology that monitors chat rooms, emails, and instant messaging. The idea is for parents to be on top of potential online dangers that are very real and to be able to avoid bad situations before they can even happen.

Engaging teenagers in a conversation is not an easy concept. Many times I firmly believe that a teenage brain is either swamped with computer techno-gobble or an alarm is going off because a zit has suddenly appeared from nowhere. But I don’t think I am giving teenagers enough credit. I mean, my son did watch the UTube presidential debates with me one evening and then IMed his friends about how “lame” the questions and downloads appeared on TV. I can’t win.

By the time your children reach their teens, there is only a limited amount of time left to influence them and get them started in life in the right direction.

Helping your teen see and experience the world can help him or her become a more well-rounded Christian adult.
