31: Teaching our children to live lives for God
Charlotte Mason says a child should grow up knowing that: "My duty towards God is to believe in Him, to fear Him and love Him with all my heart, with all my soul and all my strength; to worship Him, to give Him thanks, to put my whole trust in Him, to call upon Him, to honour His holy name and His word, and to serve Him truly all the days of my life." In homeschooling, we are given the wonderful opportunity to live out our lives before our children. Our daily struggles, prayers and faith based Christian lives can be the very thing that allows our children to see a Living God in their midst.

When I first heard of homeschooling about 16 years ago, I just thought it was such an odd concept. The only family that I knew who did it went everywhere together. Or so it seemed.
